The P.T.A. class of 2020 is headed to Belize to build a library onto an Adventist elementary school. Those not lifting cinderblocks will be helping in the elementary school and nearby orphanage. Come support this endeavor at the Silent Auction and Meal held on the campus of Pine Tree Academy on Sunday, March 1st at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $15 and include the delicious three course vegetarian meal. The silent auction starts at 4 p.m. and closes on a table by table basis throughout the meal, which starts at 5:00 p.m.
Many deals are to be had. Restaurant gift certificates are 20% off. Local dental and medical clinics have donated gift certificates. The silent auction contains many local opportunities for fun including: movie certificates, bowling, Aquaboggin, rock climbing and lift tickets for skiing. Car services, beauty salons and spas are represented as well. There are gift baskets on a variety of themes.
A limited live auction (10 items) is held at the finish of the meal. These include unique experiences like jet-skiing on Taylor Pond, ocean kayaking tour, a day lobstering, two tickets to the Titanic at the Maine State Theater and an off-season stay in Bar Harbor. And don’t forget Bev Beckwith pies!
Guests can cash out any time once they have won a bid. Credit cards can be used, but it’s advisable to have some twenties in your wallet for the restaurant mystery board and activity mystery board. The auction takes place in the gymnasium of Pine Tree Academy at 67 Pownal Road, Freeport, Maine.
